Privacy, in plain English
We have no interest in building a profile of what you watch. JustTV starts with a simple choice: you can use the app without making a JustTV account.
What stays on your device. What optional sync stores. And what we have no interest in collecting.
JustTV keeps your provider username and password in Apple Keychain. If you use sync, your provider URL, username, and password are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before upload. Our sync service stores an encrypted copy, not readable provider credentials.
We don’t use analytics SDKs, serve ads, sell personal information, or track you across apps and websites. Your viewing habits aren’t an opportunity to target you.
In guest mode, your favorites, viewing progress, and recent channels stay on your device. An optional JustTV account stores those records and your preferences so they can follow you between devices, along with the account and device information needed to run sync.
Favorites and viewing progress aren’t end-to-end encrypted like your provider credentials. Our account and sync providers may also process limited technical data to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
JustTV is the player, not the TV service. Your device requests content directly from the provider you add. That provider can see your IP address, credentials, and viewing requests under its own privacy policy.
A note from the creator
I started JustTV after discovering that another IPTV app was trying to spy on me. I wanted to watch TV without wondering what the app was doing in the background.
I’m Matthew Keeley, a security engineer at OpenAI. I built JustTV with the same care I want from the software I use every day. JustTV is a product of ProDefense LLC.
